在英语里，狗并不完全是一个不好听的词。有时未必是贬义


**🐕 When it's a BAD thing (insult):**
- **Calling a woman a "dog"** = She is unattractive (very offensive).
- **"You dog!"** (said with anger) = You are a scoundrel, untrustworthy, or sneaky.
- **"Dog-eat-dog world"** = A ruthless, competitive environment (negative description).
- **"Sick as a dog"** = Very ill (unpleasant, but not an insult).

**🐕🦺 When it's a GOOD thing (compliment or admiration):**
- **"You dog!"** (said with a grin/nudge) = You lucky guy! (usually about romantic or wild success).
- **"Top dog"** = The boss, the champion, the winner (high praise).
- **"Alpha dog"** = A natural leader.
- **"Work like a dog"** = Work extremely hard (often said with respect for the effort).
- **"Old dog"** (as in *"you can't teach an old dog new tricks"*) = Experienced veteran (can be neutral or affectionate).
